The Year in Review
In 2007-08, the Office of Foundation, Corporate & Government Relations (FCGR) helped to bring in a total of $16,025,402 in 83 grants for University initiatives (capital and programs) and faculty scholarly and creative endeavors. This year, approximately 90% of this total was provided by private funds, with the remaining 10% from government sources.
Of 149 proposals submitted this fiscal year, 100 were submitted by faculty. During the year, about 79 individual faculty and 36 administrators were involved in proposal activity.
At the end of the year, 32 proposals remained pending, totaling $4,669,918, of which 39% requests were for private funds, and 61% for government resources.

Forty-three research awards totaling $3,554,350 were received in 2007-08, of which 39% came from government sources, and 61% from private. This represents an increase in the number of dollars per year over the last five years. Multi-year grants are counted once, in the year awarded.
