What We Do

The Grants Office supports Richmond faculty and staff through all stages of proposal development. Whether you are pursuing a federal grant for research, a sabbatical fellowship, or foundation funding for a project with partners across the city or around the world, our team will help you stay on track and develop a strong application package.

Proposal development support includes:

• Reviewing the call for proposals and helping to interpret funder guidelines
• Editing and providing feedback on proposal narratives
• Building a competitive and compliant budget and budget narrative
• Ensuring application materials meet technical requirements like page limits, font, file types, etc.
• Shepherding your proposal through UR’s internal review and approval process
• Assisting with proposal submission when required.
